Have you given it any thought? Have you ever wondered why? Why God our omnipotent Creator of absolutely everything, who spoke the world into being, could desire anything!
As I look at the infinite beauty of the world that surrounds me, my awed appreciation of God’s majesty, His power and wisdom, deepens within me. I am overwhelmed by the divine presence of my heavenly Father. For within everything, He is there.
Even within a time such as this, God’s omnipresence, creates a stirring within me. Causing me to be still before Him, my Lord, my heavenly Father. Inspiring me once again, to reflect upon what is His purpose, His overall plan, for my purpose in Him. Questioning, how can I compare myself, place myself within the same category as the infinite beauty of God’s creation before my eyes. Acknowledging within myself that, truly, I am a grain of sand within all the amplitudes of His creation.
I enjoy within my minds eye watching God create the world within the palms of His hands. To see how His fingerprints are everywhere. Within each mountain peak, the flowing waters, the flowers petals and the frost that hangs from the trees. To see each one, created with the stroke of His fingers, with a desire in His heart- such beauty for all to see. To hear His voice within the sounds of thunder, to feel the warmth of His heart within the rays of the sun and His breath in the wind. A revelation that is hardly imaginable.
I reflect upon and marvel at the creation of man within the dust of the earth, breathed on by the breath of God. To the knowledge that we all are created in the image of God. That He desired each one of us thousands of years ago, before the creation of the world and still to this day. That within this very moment, He desires each one of us with a Fathers’ heart.
I truly do believe that God desires all the time. He desires us to come to Him. To sit with Him. To speak with Him. He desires us to call out to Him, needing him, which we do. He desires to hear laughter within our lives, to see relationships healed. To see faith in Him rise within us. He desires us, His creation to step into His blessings and receive. To partake with Him in an intimate relationship-one that is uniquely created in love. You and me, created in the image of God. Beautifully and intrinsically, purposely planned, within God’s heart, within His hands.
I am drawn to King David, my brother in Christ, where, in his times of solitude and prayer, raised the same question up to God. “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” Psalms 8: 3-4
